Facilities
Transport is walking, outrigger boat or horse and cart. No motorized vehicles are permitted on the island.

The Restaurant
A very effective wood fired oven helps turn out some of the best pizzas around. An array of Indonesian and western inspired dishes is of consistently good quality. Fresh salads and fresh fruit nearly always available.
Cold drinks and cold beer are mandatory on the menu. Talk to the staff and seek compensation, if the drinks do not meet the claim.

What's good at Mallias
Besides the wholesome food and cool drinks there is the best white sand beach and good coral and lots of coloured fish. The sunrise over Mount Rinjani filtering through the Cemara trees direct to your bungalow is worth seeing around 6am. The locals can offer you support activities of fishing, diving, discos on the next island and lunch at the Oberoi is a close boat ride away by and you can splurge all the money you have saved by staying at Mallias - on lunch.
